Main Responsibilities

  • Create and update health, safety, and environmental policies in line with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure policies are communicated clearly to all staff and contractors.
  • Identify potential hazards and assess the risks associated with various tasks and processes.
  • Recommend and implement control measures to eliminate or reduce risks.
  • Ensure that all work activities comply with statutory safety laws, regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and industry standards.
  • Perform audits, inspections, and site visits to monitor adherence.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain records of incidents and follow up on resolution.
  • Organize and deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and specialized training.
  • Promote a safety culture through awareness campaigns and regular briefings.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
  • Monitor emissions, spills, and environmental impact.
  • Support sustainability and pollution prevention initiatives
  • Develop and test emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Ensure fire extinguishers, alarms, evacuation routes, and first-aid kits are in place and functional.
  • Train employees on emergency protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of safety inspections, training sessions, permits, and reports.
  • Ensure easy retrieval of records for audits or regulatory inspections.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and safety consultants.
  • Coordinate with management, site supervisors, and workers to improve safety practices.
  • Analyse trends from safety data and audit results to improve HSE performance.
  • Recommend updates to procedures, equipment, or training as needed.

 

QMS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively take part in QMS activities and processes
  • Ensure Quality Objectives set, are tracked and monitored accordingly.
  • Complies with company quality policy as well as regulatory & legal requirements to which company subscribes to
  • Ensure risks and opportunities are identified and documented in an appropriate template.
  • Ensure Stakeholder’s Matrix is established.
  • QMS conformance and customer focus promotion
  • Complies with ISO 9001:2015
