Job Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget. Coordinating and supervising project workers, selecting tools, resources, materials and manpower, making safety inspections and ensuring project and general site safety. He will oversee site operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time, within budget and to the right quality standards
He will oversee the implementation of the contract, responsible for coordinating every aspect of the project from reviewing and approving contract terms to coordinating deadlines, approving budgets.
He should use cost estimation, project-based information, financial data, budgets, and costs to accurately evaluate project costs and ensure that costs are within budgetary limits.
Main Responsibilities
- Should notice any deviation to the contract (scope, planning, coactivity, etc.) from client or other sub-contractors, inform officially client and claim for variation order as per contract.
- Ensure variation orders are timely issued by client.
- Ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
- Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
- Create, prepare, review, and edit all subcontracts.
- In charge of the invoicing progress as per contract requirement.
- Monitor the financial progress of a project, compute on site operating fixed and variable project costs and compare such costs to budgets for initiative-taking cost control reporting to the executive management.
- Ensure project is completed according to project plans / schedule.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, local content rules, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- In charge of planning, cash curve, project control during project realization.
- Monitors work in progress and prepares weekly report of the status of each assignment.
- Maintains environmental, health and safety policies and program in line with Altrad goals.
- Provide high level Customer service and ensure compliance to all company’s rules and regulations.
- Acts as the technical focal point for the project
- Knowledgeable in all technical aspects of the project (offer, scope, contract, specifications, procedures, etc.)
- Create and distribute the daily, weekly and monthly progress to his management
- Report progress against agreed baseline schedules and milestones and physical progress assessment on a weekly and monthly basis
- Ensure management on site of the project team and control productivity and planning
- Develop and maintain relationships with management and supervisors to resolve employee issues, concerns and grievances as per existing company policy.
- Organize and conduct interviews and perform background investigation and provide onsite tests to all prospective employees.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participate in HSE activities, including toolbox meetings and HSE meetings.
- Proactively Identify hazards and assess risks related to operations activities.
- Involved in the identification of environmental aspects and impact, including the consideration of environmental impact as regards operations.
- Identify and notify HSE manager of any legal or other requirements, including update of applicable registers.
- Ensure the establishment of QHSE objectives before January each year.
- Complies with all health, safety environmental as well as legal requirements to which company subscribes.
- Shall take part in communicating and notifying all site personnel on lessons learnt from incidents.

Essential Skills
- Good presentation skills
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education and Training
- Project Management certification.
- Technically strong in project estimation, cost planning, scheduling, reporting, and writing ability.
- Knowledgeable in the use of MS Project, Microsoft office
Work Experience
- Min 5 years relevant experience and similar capacity in project management, cost estimation and project cost control preferably in Construction/EPCIC Industry, painting, insulation, fabrication/construction or oil and gas industry.
