POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Planner will be responsible for planning and scheduling project workloads. Gather and analyse information to prepare status reports. Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follow company policy. Documents work orders and projects and closes them in scheduling systems. Maintain schedules and keep project resources on track, provide regular project updates to project Manager/others, and maintain contact with staff to monitor job progress. The planner’s mission is to draw up a schedule of interventions / work activities according to the needs of the project scope & deliverables. This schedule will be presented as appropriate to the job requirement (i.e. Daily) and have clear dates of execution and deadlines (i.e. Start/Finish).
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with Project/Site Manager to develop and maintain detailed resource load schedules using MS Project or Primavera, breaking down complex activities into manageable tasks with clear dependencies, resource allocations, and timelines.
- Allocate necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to project activities based on the schedule and project requirements using CMMS/SAP.
- Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status and measurement baseline.
- Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and support cost/schedule integration
- Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
- Frequent on-site visits to review activity progress required
- Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance
- Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting.
- Attend project meetings and discussions with the PMT and external clients
- Maintain accurate records/paperwork
- Combine the work activities sequencing as per Site Manager request to deliver the scope
- Ensure manpower resources are planned effectively as per job schedule
- Record “Standby” or down time by logging the information given by supervisor
- Produce the daily and weekly reports for clients and the management as appropriate
- Produce progress curves “S curve” production progress.
- Client progress requirements shall be understood
- Identify Progress Backlogs, Critical Paths, Warnings and improvements
- Responsible for the control and monitoring of project total expenditure including verifying and checking invoices to be charged to each project and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are justified, captured and properly recorded.
- Prepare monthly project cost control report for the monitoring of the project activities daily and register all downtime, demobilizations, claims, consumptions and project related issues related to the project promptly to the project manager, Finance and management, to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required by management.

Essential Skills
- Fluent in oral and written communication
- Good presentation skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft word and PowerPoint, Excel.
- Good experience in Project management tools, Microsoft project /primavera
- Familiarity with business and financial principles

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education and Training
- BSc Degree in Engineering, Finance or Social Sciences with specialization in Project
- Management or Cost Control related training.
- Technically strong in project estimation, cost planning, scheduling, reporting, and Strong understanding of offshore project execution phases, construction methods, and relevant engineering disciplines
- Advanced knowledge in the use of CMMS Project, Primavera Scheduling and SAP
- software is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Mature, proactive & resourceful
- Independent worker who is able to work well with others with minimal supervision
Work Experience
- Min 5 years relevant experience and similar capacity in project planning and project cost control preferably in Offshore Construction/EPCIC Industry, painting, insulation, fabrication/construction or oil and gas industry.
